Robert Downey Jr. actually thanked police

Robert Downey Jr. Downey JrRobert, expressed gratitude to law enforcement for sending his son to prison.

Downey's eldest son, Indio Falconer Downey, caught using drugs in the car at 2 am. Police on patrol in the West Hollywood area look strange symptoms from Falcon car, and immediately checked.

After being caught in a Sunday, Indio through the review process undertaken by the authorities. As a result, the 20-year-old boy tested positive for cocaine use while driving. When the incident arrests took place, Indio was with two friends.

"We thank the Sheriff's Department for their involvement and believe Indio can be another success story of healing, not a sad story," said the father, Downey Jr., in a Statement of others. But only he who get high.

The Stanley Tucci/Kelsey Grammar drama Transformers: Age of Extinction scored the biggest single day of the year yesterday earning a strong $41.6 million. That includes $8.75m worth of Thursday previews for the fourth Michael Bay robot-smashing adventure, which also means that the film scored the biggest “normal business hours” Friday of the year ($31.25m) as well. That the film had a lower Thursday number than Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($10.5m) and Godzilla ($9.3m) but a higher opening day than both ($36m for Captain America 2 and $38m for Godzilla) means that the film is indeed playing to general and casual audiences at a slightly higher level than those comparably fanbase-driven properties.  The Paramount Pictures (a division of Viacom, Inc.) release is still looking at potentially being the first $100m debut of 2014, although an opening  around $90m-$95m wouldn’t exactly be cause for shame and disgrace either.

For the record, the biggest Fri-Sun debut of the year as of today is Captain America: The Winter Soldier with $95m.  The weekend multiplier is tough to figure out because, stop me if you’ve heard this one before, this is the first Transformers film to open on a Friday. The other three entries all debuted on Tuesday or Wednesday, meaning that much of the “must-see” demographic was on to other things by Friday. As such, Transformers had a sky-high 3.11 weekend multiplier ($70.5 million Fri-Sun/$22.6m Fri), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen had a 2.9x weekend multiplier after scoring a near-record $62m Wednesday ($108.9m/$36.7m), and Transformers: Dark of the Moon had a 2.9x as well ($97.8m/$32.9m). I’ll happily admit being incorrect tomorrow if need-be, but I would be shocked in this front-loaded era if Transformers: Age of Extinction pulls anywhere near a 2.9x weekend multiplier (which would be $120 million by the way).

More likely we’re looking at a 2.4x-2.7x weekend multiplier, giving the Mark Wahlberg adventure a probable weekend of between $99m and $112m. The film played 64% male and 58% 25 years-and older. The film is also crushing it overseas, having earned $30m in China alone, a record opening day for a foreign film playing in China. The film was a Chinese co-production and featured a China-set finale and a supporting role for Bingbing Li, so big business in China was all-but-guaranteed. All-told, the (depending on who you ask) $165m or $210m-budgeted film’s worldwide total after two days of international play is $121.6m, with $80m overseas. So yeah, the addition of Mark Wahlberg and those Dino Bots seems to have fended off any franchise fatigue for the moment.

There were no other new wide releases set to open against Transformers: Age of Extinction, although there were a few limited releases. Begin Again, a Mark Rufallo/Keira Knightley directed by John Carney (Once) debuted on five screens courtesy of the Weinstein Company and earned $43,304 for its trouble. Figure a probable $140,000 Fri-Sun haul for a solid $28k per-screen average.

Lionsgate also debuted Dinesh D’Souza’s America: Imagine the World Without Her, a documentary/editorial from the guy who brought us 2016: Obama’s America. I don’t have numbers for that one yet, but it will be interesting to watch as it expands wide over the July 4th weekend. Variety’s Joe Leydon reviewed it here. The best film of the weekend is Snowpiercer, Bong Joon-ho‘s superb post-apocalyptic adventure film. The Radius-TWC release, starring Chris Evans, Octavia Spencer, Tilda Swinton, and John Hurt, debuted on eight screens nationwide this weekend. Again, no numbers yet (I’ll update later), but I thought you should be aware of its existence. Mark Hughes reviewed it for Forbes here.

The rest is holdover news, and there actually is some this weekend despite the Transformers domination. Of note, Sony's  Amazing Spider-Man 2 will finally be dragged, kicking and screaming in protest, across the $200 million mark this weekend. The film has earned $704m worldwide. Heaven Is For Real will cross $90m domestic this weekend, a stunning achievement for the $12m Greg Kinnear religious drama. And 22 Jump Street earned around $5m on its third Friday, setting the stage for a $15m weekend (-45%), which will put it over the $138m domestic total for 21 Jump Street in just 17 days.

Also crossing $200 million by weekend’s end is Walt Disney's DIS +1.01% Maleficent, as the Angelina Jolie fantasy earned $2.59m yesterday, setting the stage for an $8.5m weekend (down just 33%) and a $202m domestic total. X-Men: Days of Future Past, which crossed $700m worldwide yesterday and will soon be the biggest global grosser of 2014 until Transformers 4 knocks it down, earned around $1m yesterday and should bring in around $3m for the weekend for a $223m domestic cume. Warner Bros.’ (a division of Time Warner, Inc.) Jersey Boys earned $2.25m, down a troubling 52% on its second Friday. Expect a $7.5m second weekend and a new $27m cume for the $40m Clint Eastwood musical drama.

Edge of Tomorrow took a Transformers hit, earning $1.55m (-48%) and bringing its cume to $80m. The Tom Cruise sci-fi actioner should be at around $4m for the weekend and $84m total by tomorrow.  Godzilla earned $0.23m (-59%) and should be at just under $197m domestic by tomorrow. Last weekend’s box office champ, Think Like A Man Too, earned $3.4m on its second Friday, down a horrible 72% from last Friday’s $12.1m debut. The bleeding will level off a little over the weekend but we’re still looking at a $10m second frame, down 65%. Still, the $24m Kevin Hart-and-ensemble romantic comedy should reach $48m tomorrow, doubling its budget. It’s a quick-kill, but it’s still a hit.

The Fault in Our Stars crossed $100m early last week and pulled in around $1.8m on its fourth Friday for a probable $5.5m weekend and $109m domestic total. Finally, DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon 2 earned $4.1m on its third Friday (-48%), which will likely lead to a $14m third weekend and $121m domestic total (it’s at $112m today). It’s still running about 4% behind Kung Fu Panda 2, which “disappointed” with $165m domestic before earning $665m worldwide. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is still looking at $155m-$160m domestic, but we’ll see how it flies overseas.

That’s it for today. Join us tomorrow for the weekend estimates and more holdover news. In the meantime, if you like Transformers go see Transformers. You’ll get no judgment from me. But if you don’t like Transformers films, go find something better (Edge of Tomorrow, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Fault in Our Stars, Snowpiercer, etc.) instead of whining about the state of cinema.

It was an out-of-control situation,” Kirkland police Lt. Mike Murray told the Seattle Times. Solo, 32, was being held without bail in South King County Jail on two charges of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree. Listed under her married name, Hope Amelia Stevens, she is to appear Monday in Kirkland Municipal Court.
Solo married Stevens, a former NFL player for the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in November 2012, shortly after he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting Solo, but charges were never brought because there was insufficient evidence. Review Great Movie "The Fault in Our Stars"

Movie Review: "The Fault in Our Stars"

"The Fault in Our Stars" is a romantic drama staring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort as Hazel and Augustus - two teenagers who reluctantly forge a relationship. Their relationship is affected by the fact that they have both been diagnosed with cancer and know that their life is not guaranteed. Despite the risk of loving and losing, Hazel and Augustus decide to be together for as long as they have left.

Plot Summary

"The Fault in Our Stars" opens with 17-year-old Hazel Lancaster meeting a boy named Augustus Waters. The teens soon discover they have one thing in common - both of their lives have been affected by cancer. Hazel tells Augustus that she is suffering from thyroid cancer that has spread to her lungs - a condition that is by all accounts going to be fatal. In turn, Augustus shares that he had cancer when he was younger, but it is now in remission.

Shortly after meeting, Hazel and Augustus agree to read each other's favorite books. Augustus gives Hazel a book called "The Price of Dawn," and the story ends up deeply affecting her. She shares how she is troubled by the fact that the book does not explain what happened to the main character - a girl who, like Hazel, was diagnosed with cancer as a teenager.

Augustus secretly writes to the author of the book, Peter Van Houten, asking him for answers about the book's ending. Eventually, the author agrees to give Augustus answers if he comes to meet him in person. Augustus arranges a trip to Van Houten's home in Amsterdam, but right before they are to leave, Hazel's lungs fill with fluid and she is admitted to the hospital. After she recovers, Hazel and Augustus travel to Amsterdam to meet Van Houten, but he turns out to be an angry alcoholic who refuses to give them answers about the book.

When they return home, Augustus reveals that he recently found out that his cancer has returned and is in an advanced state. Hazel assumed she would be the first one to die, so she struggles with her feelings for Augustus. In the end, Hazel finds answers to her past and future from an unlikely source: none other than Van Houten.

Cast

"The Fault in Our Stars" is expected to be one of the best movies of the year, partly due to the great on-screen chemistry between Woodley and Elgort. Both characters face cancer with the determination not to fall into depression or accept the sympathies of others. In that way, both actors create characters that are altogether very similar. However, Woodley's character is strong on the outside, but afraid and vulnerable on the inside. Her hidden frailty is offset by Elgort's character who is sure of himself and Hazel. Their roles vis-à-vis each other are reversed toward the end of the film when Augustus suffers a relapse, and both actors make the switch effortlessly.

Film Analysis

"The Fault in Our Stars" is a heartbreaking story that should seem depressing. However, the way the lead characters refuse to play into the image of a teenage cancer patient allows the film to focus on more than just their impending deaths. Additionally, Hazel's reluctance to forge a relationship with Augustus saves the film from moving too fast. The teens meet in one of the opening scenes, but they do not confess their love for one another for some time. This makes the evolution of the relationship the focus of the film, rather than the fact that both characters are affected by cancer.

The film is faithful to the novel it is based on, and that's not a bad thing. The film captures the essence of the characters and stays true to the story without altering any of the major details. Although this means there are no major surprises or plot twists, the story does not require any. The only real change is that the conflict with Van Houten is played up a bit in the film. This actually makes the story more intriguing, since there is no other real conflict between the other characters.

One of the best aspects of the movie is the script. With the movie that spends so much time watching two characters talk, a great script is absolutely necessary. The screenwriters in this case deliver. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, writers of the screenplays for "500 Days of Summer" and "The Spectacular Now," bring the words from the book to life in the film, but also make some great changes. Hazel and Augustus banter back and forth constantly throughout the movie, even when one or the other is in the hospital, and the witty conversation breaks up the sadness at the heart of the story.

"The Fault in Our Stars" tells the story of young love in an unconventional way. The characters go through many of the ups and downs of falling in love, all while dealing with impending death. The witty, light-hearted script and the development of the characters takes a film which could have been tragic and instead makes it poignant. Although there are some very sad moments in the film, "The Fault in Our Stars" has a very uplifting ending that is definitely worth seeing.

But Only as a left-field Assistant

The striker set up Daniel Sturridge’s goal but once again could not find the net at a World Cup finals as England lost to Italy

It still felt as if Wayne Rooney had been rather awkwardly
shoehorned into the England team.
Photograph: Matthew Ashton/AMA
At least Wayne Rooney has broken one of his ducks. The Manchester United forward must have winced every time he was reminded of the reality that he had never managed a goal or an assist in a World Cup finals but, in by-passing Gabriel Paletta with a beautifully arced centre eight minutes before the interval here for Daniel Sturridge to convert, he has finally made a positive mark on this tournament. That it counted for little will have left him exasperated.
This had felt like a significant moment. All the talk from within the England camp in the build-up had been of this as an opportunity for the 28-year-old to establish his qualities at a World Cup finals after those infamous false starts in Germany and South Africa. His mood was buoyant, his determination to “enjoy” this tournament expressed publicly – it was almost possible to detect Dr Steve Peters’ input in the forward’s comments back at Urca – and indicative of maturity, according to Hodgson, with all that experience so critical in a squad of relative rookies. He was one of only three starters in Manaus who had played in these finals before. Italy included three World Cup winners in their own selection.
And yet, on this pivotal occasion, he began not as the team’s focal point up front, or even as its principal playmaker in the hole, but out on the left. This is the role he has detested at times at Manchester United, even if he has toed the line when asked about it since linking up with the national squad. “I’ve been doing it for years,” he had offered. “If you look at the way we play, it’s not playing out and out on the left wing. You’re playing more inside, you’re coming inside off the line. It’s not really playing too much on the left.” That much was true, but Raheem Sterling’s pace and fearless approach was more valued through the middle and, at times, it still felt as if Rooney had been rather awkwardly shoehorned into the team because, without him, England would feel weakened.
Perhaps, psychologically, they would have been against such canny opponents, but there were still long periods when he was far too peripheral here, for all that England’s front four interchanged with relish. Where Danny Welbeck and Sterling were eager sprinters, disconcerting their markers with their darts into space, Rooney paced the area between Matteo Darmian and Antonio Candreva craving involvement. Aside from a couple of accurately clipped cross-field passes to Welbeck on the right, he had been anonymous until Claudio Marchisio skimmed the Azzurri ahead.
The concession served as a wake-up call. Rooney, who had possibly unsighted Joe Hart on the edge of the six-yard box as the shot was fizzed in, spent the plod back to the halfway line for the re-start furiously geeing up his team-mates as if roused from his slumbers. Within seconds he had collected Sterling’s fine pass to ease beyond Darmian and cross for Sturridge to convert on the half-volley at the far post.
With a record of 39 goals in 93 caps, of course, Rooney might hope to have led the line as the principle forward and there were shots pinged marginally wide of each post as this game progressed. Yet throughout all the experimentation in Portugal to Florida to Rio de Janeiro, the one certainty in this England attacking quartet team had been Sturridge. The 24-year-old has been the constant, his eye-catching campaign at Liverpool demanding involvement from the start. Only Luis Suárez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Costa, Lionel Messi and Ciro Immobile had mustered more than his 21 league goals across Europe’s elite divisions and, even if his equaliser here was only his sixth reward at this level, this tournament has come to feel like his opportunity. Gary Lineker boasted only six upon arriving in Mexico in 1986, but went on to secure the Golden Boot and never looked back.
Hodgson had volunteered comparisons with a teenage Pelé back in 1958 when speaking of Sturridge on the eve of this game. “Daniel is a natural talent, an extremely gifted player,” Hodgson said on the eve of this game, his captain Steven Gerrard having also recently taken to reminding his club-mate of his qualities, behind the scenes. Admittedly, there was a naivety to the forward’s hoodwinking by Andrea’s Pirlo’s dummy in the build-up to Marchisio’s opener, and he can become anxious when games are veering away, but Sturridge’s prowess is better gauged at the other end.
No England player has managed more than two goals at a World Cup since Lineker in 1990. He would back himself to become the first with his instinct always to shoot, that waspish left foot forever a threat as Salvatore Sirigu quickly discovered. The Italy goalkeeper smartly pushed away an attempt early in the second period when the scores were still level, Sirigu later alarmed and scampering across his line as Sturridge curled an attempt marginally wide of the far post. Italy were relieved when he cramped up. Sturridge carries a threat.
His departure did at least push Rooney central again, though the left awaits for the foreseeable future, even if that combination with the No9 for the first half goal – with its input from Sterling thrown in – boded well for a partnership that is still learning to gel. England will clearly prove an attacking threat for as long as they remain at this tournament. The worry is whether their defence can cope well enough to make that relevant.

Hayden Panettiere's not a diva — she just plays one on TV.

The "Nashville" star rocked what she's got, flashing absolutely flawless skin and a youthful glow, as she strolled through LAX earlier this week with her hair casually tossed up in a messy bun.

Clad in head-to-toe denim (which she totally pulls off) and a pair of well-worn casual brown boots, the 23-year-old beauty looked relaxed and happy as she waited for her luggage, chatted on the phone, and mugged for photos. In other words, she looked exactly like any normal girl her age except, you know, a whole lot more gorgeous. Kudos to her.

Oh, and just in case there was any doubt that she's down-to-earth, she also pushed her own bags through the terminal, something her character Juliette Barnes, would never, ever do.

Perhaps her fresh-faced glow was the result of reuniting with her Ukrainian boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko? The twosome appear to be closer than ever as of late, even sparking rumors of a potential engagement. No ring sighting just yet, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have it tucked away in some sock drawer … or that, if she doesn't, she's not getting a piece of bling soon.

While this laid-back style is certainly working for her, Panettiere usually sports a bit more of a put-together look. She often opts for polished hairstyles, a dusting of bronzer, and bright lip-gloss at the very least, and is no stranger to glamorous short dresses that show off her toned gams.

Though only time will tell if Klitschko is planning to put on a ring on it, one thing is certain: Panettiere is a natural beauty who's comfortable in her own skin — and there isn't anything more breathtaking than that.

Jolie aunt dies of breast cancer days after op-ed

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (AP) — Less than two weeks after Angelina Jolie revealed she'd had a double mastectomy to avoid breast cancer, her aunt died from the disease Sunday.

Debbie Martin died at age 61 at a hospital in Escondido, Calif., near San Diego, her husband, Ron Martin, told The Associated Press.

Debbie Martin was the younger sister of Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, whose own death from ovarian cancer in 2007 inspired the surgery that Jolie described in a May 14 op-ed in the New York Times.

According to her husband, Debbie Martin had the same defective BRCA1 gene that Jolie does, but didn't know it until after her 2004 cancer diagnosis.

"Had we known, we certainly would have done exactly what Angelina did," Ron Martin said in a phone interview.

Debbie Martin's death was first reported by E! News.

Ron Martin said after getting breast cancer, Debbie Martin had her ovaries removed preventively because she was also at very high genetic risk for ovarian cancer, which has killed several women in her family.

The 37-year-old Jolie said in her op-ed that her doctors estimated that she had a 50 percent risk of getting ovarian cancer but an 87 percent risk of breast cancer.

She had her breasts removed first, reducing her likelihood to a mere 5 percent.

She described the three-step surgical process in detail in the op-ed "because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience."

The story, a surprise to most save those closest to Jolie, spurred a broad discussion of genetic testing and pre-emptive surgery.

A message left with representatives seeking comment from Jolie was not immediately returned.

Celebrities dealing with insults on their social media accounts is fairly normal. When you make yourself so available, there's always going to be someone who wants to cut you down, it's the foundation of the internet. Some people take it too far, though. That was the case with someone tweeting Hootie & the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker.

Rucker received a tweet May 19, reading "Leave country to the while folk." Such a classy thing to say to anyone, anywhere. Rucker responded a few times. First, he writes, "WOW. Is this 2013 or 1913?" He follows that with "Ill take my grand ole Opry membership and leave your racism. Wow."

Before signing off for the night, Rucker sent out one last tweet at the person, saying, "Gotta go to bed this has been hilarious tonight. If any hater thinks I care what u think. I don't make music for u. So don't listen."

It didn't take long before the account that sent the tweet to Rucker was deleted, allowing the singer to claim the ultimate victory: Beating an internet troll. He should celebrate with a bottle of Hanson beer, so the 90s circle of craziness can be complete.

Selena Gomez Shows Her Sexy Bikini Body

Come and Get some sunshine! Selena Gomez, 20, did just that during a recent girls' trip to Miami, Fla. on Saturday, May 11 -- where the singer/actress soaked up some serious rays and enjoyed R&R while hanging poolside.

Looking super-stylish in a multi-colored striped string bikini, the "Come & Get It" singer kept her beach-ready look fairly low-key -- rocking an effortless high bun and black shades.

Selena Gomez certainly knows how to put together a stylish ensemble, whether she’s rocking the red carpet or just hanging out by the pool. Most recently, the celeb has been engaging in a fair amount of the latter activity, creating an effortless ensemble with a striped bikini, a messy bun and a pair of sleek sunglasses.

Justin Bieber was nowhere in sight during this little Miami trip, which is completely understandable seeing as he’s currently on tour. The Biebs is also in need of some R and R, which, according to a recent Twitter post, is exactly what he plans on achieving: “glad to chill for a few days. gonna take it easy. that was an amazing tour. thanks to all the fans around the world. #grateful to all of u.”

While still on tour, Justin posted a picture featuring both him and Selena, but according to his former girlfriend, the relationship is 100 percent over. She confirmed the breakup once again during a radio interview, claiming that, if asked by a cute guy to go get some ice cream, she would absolutely say yes.

Lohan wants out of Betty Ford after docs take away her Adderall

Lindsay Lohan is planning her escape from The Betty Ford Center because doctors at the world famous drug treatment center have taken away her supply of Adderall.

Lohan takes the drug for her ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) but Betty Ford's doctors prefer to treat the ailment with non-addictive Adderall alternatives, according to TMZ.

One of the reasons doctors get their patients off Adderall is that they believe many Hollywood stars use the drug as a weight-control drug.

The change in drug regiment has not gone down well with the "Mean Girls" star who is now searching for a rehab that will let her keep her precious ADHD meds.

There is no word yet on what Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Dabney will make of Lohan's planned escape after the judge ordered the troubled actress to attend 90-days of locked-down rehab.

Lohan checked into Betty Ford last week to start her 3-month stay in rehab but an interview with Piers Morgan appeared shortly thereafter which outlined just how hard a time Betty Ford's workers will have in getting Lohan to give up her hard partying lifestyle.

“I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times. I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time," Lohan told Morgan.

A child found in Cleveland with the three women who had been missing for a decade is the daughter of one of the women, police said.

The women, who vanished in separate cases near their homes in Cleveland, were found Monday only miles from where they disappeared, and three brothers have been
arrested in connection to the incident, according to police.

Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry, 27, and Michele Knight, 32, were released from Metro Health Medical Center this morning, a hospital spokeswoman said in a statement.
"I've been kidnapped, and I've been missing for 10 years," Berry told a 911 operator after breaking free. "And I'm here. I'm free now."

The child was also carried out of the home but the child's identity or age has not been released by police. The child is Berry's daughter, according to ABC News affiliate WEWS-TV, quoting police.

Police confirmed to WEWS that one of the men taken into custody is 52-year-old Ariel Castro. WEWS also reports a background check shows he owns the home where the three women were living.

Authorities believe Castro, who was once a city school bus driver, was keeping the women locked inside his modest two-story home, which he has owned since 1992, ABC News has learned.

Police have not identified his brothers, who are ages 50 and 54, according to authorities. Chargers could come as early as today.
Berry identified Ariel Castro by name in her 911 call.

"Um, his name is Ariel Castro," Berry said. "He's like 52."

The dispatcher pressed for more information, including what he was wearing.

"I don't know, because he's not here right now. That's why I ran away," Berry said.

Neighbors said they heard cries for help coming from a house on Seymour Avenue around 6 p.m., and when they went to investigate, kicked open the door of the home to get the women out.

Neighbor Charles Ramsey said that he was eating at McDonald's when he heard a girl screaming and begging for help.

"I look and I see this girl and she's just going nuts on the door so, I'm like, 'What's your problem? If you're stuck, just open the door.' She said 'I can't, you got it locked,'" he said.

Ramsey said that their attempt to pry the door open failed, so he and his neighbor kicked open the bottom.

"Luckily … it was aluminum, it was cheap," he said, "And she climbed out with her daughter. ... She went to my house, we called 911."

Berry came out of the home, carrying a child in her arms, which Ramsey identified as her daughter. Berry immediately called 911, asking police for help.

"Hello police help me I'm Amanda Berry," she said in the call. "I've been kidnapped and I've been missing for 10 years and I'm here. I'm free now. ... I've been in the news for the last 10 years ... with Gina."

Berry told arriving police officers that there were more women inside the home. Police, with their guns drawn, entered the house and returned with DeJesus and Knight.
Ramsey said the women looked malnourished when they came out of the house.

"They look like they haven't been fed in a long time … They were skinny when they came out of that house," he said. The victims are being examined for possible abuse at the hospital, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

Ramsey said he'd barbecued with the home's owner and never suspected something was amiss.
"There was nothing exciting about him — well, until today," he said.

Ramsey said that he was shocked when police told them whom he had rescued.

"He said, 'Do you know who you just rescued out of the house?' I said brother, 'a couple of females.' He said no, no, no. 'You got Amanda and you got Gina,'" Ramsey said.

This saga began as three separate cases starting Aug. 23, 2002, when Knight, then in her 20s, was last seen leaving her cousin's house.

Berry disappeared at age 16 April 21, 2003, the day before her 17th birthday. She had called her sister to say she was getting a ride home from her job at a Burger King, The Associated Press reported.

Finally, on April 2, 2004, DeJesus, who was 14 at the time, disappeared on her way home from school.

The cases have consumed the Cleveland community for years and gained national attention and were profiled on "The Montel Williams Show" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

The missing persons posters have been a part of the community for a decade by families who refused to give up.

Overnight, countless family members, friends and even elated strangers cheered outside of Metro Medical Center where the three women are recovering.

One person who could not make it was Berry's mother, Louwanna Miller.

Zayda Delgado, a neighbor, told ABC News Miller died in 2006.

"I feel bad because the mother died never knowing that her daughter was still alive," she said.

A police news conference is scheduled for later this morning.

ABC News' Alex Perez and Courtney Condron contributed to this report.

Miley Cyrus Describes Her 'edgy' ELLE cover

Miley Cyrus, ELLE cover, edgy of miley cyrus
Miley Cyrus has described her style as "punk and a little edgy".

This singer-and-actress appears on the June edition of ELLE magazine, her first big UK cover shoot.

The 20-year-old says the publication matches her own personal outlook on fashion and beauty, which is more alternative than other glossy magazines.

"ELLE UK is really cool and it is a little different. I think it shows a different side of style that I feel is really me," Miley revealed in a behind-the-scenes video. "It's a bit punk and a little more edgy. It's really cool to be able to shoot this as I haven't had the chance to do much for the UK like this yet. ELLE is a really cool magazine and my first big cover."

And in For the June edition, Miley rocks a ten-page spread where she models some of the season's most iconic pieces. The designers she sports include Saint Laurent, Fendi, Emilio Pucci and Simone Rocha.

Alison Edmond was the fashion stylist on set who explained more about the wardrobe chosen.

"Some of the designers we used are those who are good at portraying a strong woman," Alison revealed.

Otherwise, make-up artist Melanie Inglessis gave a rocker feel to the star's look by using black eye make-up and a nude lip.

"I really wanted to go for a rock 'n' roll look to bring Miley's personality out," she revealed.

Hair stylist Jenny Cho created a cool punk look by putting Miley's platinum blonde pixie crop into a Mohawk style.
"She's young and fearless so I created something playful and fun," she explained.

Miley found the experience of shooting her extensive spread for the magazine difficult as there were so many outfit choices on offer. She likened the process of selecting the things she wore to working on her music.

"It's like doing an album where you don't want to cut the songs you do like but you have to choose," she laughed. "It's like there's so many options and outfits and pictures, you feel like, 'How do I know this is the one I'm really wanting?' I'm glad I don't have to edit through the pictures."
