PARIS - NOVEMBER 29: Actress Angelina Jolie attends the 'Megamind' Paris premiere on November 29, 2010 in Paris, France.
when Angelina Jolie was humanitarian efforts with the UNHCR, she has seen firsthand the struggle to survive the refugees face in every day. “You should go to these places and you realize what life was really about and what people are really going through,” Angelina says. “All of These people are my heroes.” Does this sound like a woman who would produce a film and not consider the sensitivity of the people who actually lived through the horrors of the Bosnian war? Of course, Angelina Jolie has had enough. While in Paris promoting her film “The Tourist,” Jolie has told Reuters, “The absolute majority of the people, population, the cast, prime minister, president have been extremely supportive.” She also said that 95 percent of the film’s cast had lived through the war.
No one of us can truly understood the emotional trauma that the Bosnian women suffered through the war. But, doesn’t it seem a bit more logical to wait and see Angelina Jolie’s finished product before passing judgment? Jolie has spent years working with the UNHCR and has shown her compassion for those less fortunate, which will assuredly be felt in her Bosnian love story.
