Upset because Howard policies that support the U.S. War in Iraq
A man in Australia tried to imitate him in an Iraqi journalist two years ago, who threw a pair of shoes to the President of the United States (U.S.) at the time, George W. Bush. However, the target this time was former prime minister of Australia, John Howard.
According to news agency Associated Press, the incident occurred when Mr Howard appeared to be a speaker at a talk radio program "Q & A" which aired live by ABC Australia, on Monday evening, October 25, 2010.
"This is for the death of the Iraqi people!" cried a man named Peter Gray when Howard threw the shoe in the direction of the bleachers. The throw was missed and Gray immediately expelled from the studio by security guards.
Gray admitted that the pitch was an expression of annoyance to Howard, who he considers the Bush ally in the U.S. military invasion of Iraq. During the reign of Australia, Howard helped the U.S. military campaign to deploy 2000 troops to Iraq.
However, Howard was not angry. He even laughed respond incident. "Forget, forget," he said. "Did any of you who took off his shoes?" Howard joked.
